Rabbiteye Blueberry Brightwell (Vaccinium ashei)

One of the most rugged, dependable varieties available. ‘Brightwell’ is exceptionally disease and insect resistant and because it is a hybrid of a species native to the southern U.S., this is a great variety for hot, humid climates. Produces medium sized berries early in the season. Well-drained soil is essential for good performance. Plants won’t tolerate dense clay or water-logged soil.

Uses

Best used in groups to insure good pollination. The berries are delicious in pies, tarts, jams, and preserves. The perfect addition to any fresh fruit tray.
