One of the most adaptable and fastest growing Oak trees for use in residential and commercial landscapes, the handsome Nuttall Oak grows at a rate of up to 3 feet per year. When all grown up it reach 60 feet tall by 50 feet wide, making it a perfect selection for a shade or street tree. The deeply lobed leaves emerge a vibrant green purple that holds well into summer before turning deep green. Fall brings yellow leaves that turn to brilliant orange and or red. The large and abundant acorns mature over a two-year period and supply food and shelter for birds and small animals. Very low maintenance and easy to grow, the Nuttall Oak grows in well-drained to wet soils including heavy clay. If you have the space for a large shade tree and want an oak, Nuttall is hard to beat!
